A Boyhood in the Whirlwind of the War

Abstract: This is a story about Spasa Gogić who was 12 years old as the war broke out. Although only a boy, he took part in the battle on the Sutjeska and in liberation of Zagreb. He passed the whole territory of the former Yugoslavia with his unit, and joined the entourage of high military and political officials after the end of the war. The paper deals also with the way of life in the unit, relation to the enemy, comrades and the wounded.
